Speakers: David Shannon & Tom Watson

About the speakers:

David Shannon began preaching at Mt. Juliet on August 22, 1999.  He is a native to Hickman County, Tennessee and began preaching in small churches at the early age of 14. David is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University with a degree in Business a minor in Bible.  Shannon and his wife, Tracie, met in college and were married shortly before they graduated. 

After graduation, the couple moved to Long Island, New York, to become full-time minister at a Christian boys ranch.  They worked and ministered to troubled teens there for two years. 

After leaving New York, Shannon accepted a minister position for a small church in Gadsden, Alabama.  

The Shannons' have three children -- Colton, Lacie and Emilie.

Tom Watson is presently the pulpit minister at the Philadelphia church of Christ in Lebanon, Tennessee.  He began preaching in 1976 and has preached in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee.  He spent five years as a full time missionary in Cameroon, Africa. He is married to Deborah Watson and they have two children -- Audra and Amanda, a son-in-law, Audra's husband Mark Brown, and three grandchildren -- Paige, Liam, and Patrick.

Brother Watson is a certified counselor and is available for counseling in interpersonal communication, anger management, premarital and marriage counseling, grief counseling, adolescent and group counseling thru the Christian Counseling ministry at the Owl Hollow Church of Christ on the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month. There is a small charge of $10.00 per session. 615-604-1602.
